Blog Like a Pro Lesson 3: The Fastest Way to Get Attention Online

This is Day 3 in our 7-day Blog Like a Pro (BLP) Challenge. If you missed yesterday’s lesson on making it matter start there. Also, check in on Facebook to see what others are doing!

Assignment: Find something other people are saying and disagree with it. Don’t do it just to be controversial. Do it because you actually disagree with it. Write about a belief or idea people tend to take for granted. And then obliterate it. Invite people into the discussion and see how they respond. Be careful, though. This can get heated. You’re dealing with the most powerful form of communication there is.

Jeff—-P.S. What do you think of controversial writing? What’s your fight to pick? Share in the comments here (along with a link to your piece!).

Everyone thinks having a college education will give them a high paying job but here’s what’s actually true…there are a lot of consequences, a lot of costs, and a lot to investigate.  Good reasons to attend college is for academic interests and then finding a college that addresses those interests whether it is criminal justice, law, or nursing.  The bad reasons to go to college include; getting away from home, wanting to party, your friends tell you to.

I am all for the new age “ONLINE COLLEGE” but what I am finding out is you have to find out if the college is an “ABA” accredited college.  I went to Kaplan Online to get my Associates from 2007-2009 to gain my Associates in Applied Science Paralegal.  Then I went in 2012-2014 to DeVry University to get my BA in Technical Management. I was working full time and had no other choice as a single mother.  I was so proud of myself.  After graduating in October 30 of 2014, DeVry did not help me to find a job.  Sure, if I can afford to go one hour to and from work in Chicago, IL.  That was not an option or is an option when you are a single mom!  To share here are all of my classes: mydevryclassssss

kaplan classssssssssssssss

So this leads me to believe that many online places like Monster.com, Indeed.com and others are just putting up FALSE advertising for jobs.  I have been on three interviews to no avail and I am in shock. What would you do if you were me? Signed Jackie Paulson © 2016 March 16, 2016.
