Weekly Photo Challenge BLUR https://dailypost.wordpress.com/dp_photo_challenge/blur/
I have a new job so I am so behind on my blog, so sorry, but I managed to make this decoupage notebook this weekend, it did not turn out perfect but…
Hello and Welcome to ThriftyCreations by Jackie Paulson © 2015
This is my first week project and it is April 1st 2015. My goal is to create
One project a week using thrifty finds and creating something beautiful.
What I did for my first project was a decoupage hard covered book. The book
Was found for .88 cents at a community thrift store, it was old and has
Library stamps on the front and back and inside the cover and the back
Cover. So, what I did was painted the cover inside and out front and back
With Kiltz paint bought for 8.00 at Ace a Hardware Store. It’s a great
Primer for all sorts of house projects! Then I picked out my decoupage
Paper I ordered off Amazon.com. Then I cut the paper to fit the book.
I have a handy craft cutter to make sure it’s even. I then placed decoupage
On the Paper on the front, worked my way to the spine and all the way around to
The back. Once that was dried, I worked on the inside and folded the outer
Pieces in like wrapping a gift. I did this to the front and back. I then decided to
Put pink on the front inside cover to cover the stamp markings and decoupage it
Down. Since I got a little impatient the back two pieces accidentally glued down on
The back cover on the inside, but I figured for a first project it was fine, looked
Great anyway! When I completed the look I wanted I then decoupage the entire
Book front, back, inside and when it dried here is the final project below. Tell me
What you think? If you don’t mind, tell me if you would want one?! I actually video
Tapped it and it did not turn out, so I hope to post my next project on YouTube!
