One thing I love about taking photos is that it forces me to be present — to consider and appreciate now, before now evaporates and becomes then.
Lasting for a very short time is what Ephemeral is all about. So with that said I just finished reading Heal Your Life by Louise L Hay. A Christian woman author that I adore.
The first thing is that I wish I knew THEN what I know Now! At the ripe old age of 48, I am finally learning to take care of myself. I spent my entire life people pleasing and giving to anyone who would ask, but not anymore. No, I am not being selfish, I am finally learning to love myself, which is something all of us should do.
One thing that resonated to me is that we create our situations and then we give our power away by blaming other people for our frustrations. A light bulb went off in my head.
Another thing that resonated to me was the fact that we are all victim of victim and by that I mean you had parents and they either loved you or they did not show love and they did the best the could raising you, with what they knew how. My parents did not show love or affection for each other or for me. So I grew up without that…but I am the exact opposite. I give love and forgiveness to everyone as my real Father is Jesus and Mother is Mary. I always say, “what would Jesus do.”
The cure for cancer is LOVE, if you forgive, release resentment and let go of your past then they are off the hook and so are you – to live fully in the moment today, because we cannot do anything about the past but learn to let it all go.
The very person YOU find it hardest to forgive is the one YOU NEED TO LET GO OF THE MOST- right NOW! SO I listed everyone who hurt me or did not meet my own expectations of them and then I let them all go, let them off the hook! AMEN TO THAT!
Since I just learned to love myself and accept myself I sparked a new interest to create. I am working on this as we speak. Good for me! What a breakthrough.
So what will you do TODAY to love yourself more?
