I (Linda the creator of this fun prompt) was originally going to make the three prompts for Just Jot It January 2015 Reading, Writing, and ‘Rithmatic, however, Writing has been covered in many of the prompts that fell under the Reading category which makes it seem a little–get ready for another “r” word–redundant. So for the second prompt I’ll skip straight on to ‘Rithmatic and make the third prompt something truly different.
Here are some ideas on what you can do with the prompt, “‘Rithmatic”:
1. Write something on adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, fractions… you get the idea. NOOO way, I hate Statistics! Skipping this.
2. Choose a number to write about. Any number. 12 I was born on 12/12/1966
12 DAY NUMBER
Number 12 Day people are very versatile, energetic and professional in their work. They have great mentally perceptive attributes and abilities when it comes to dealing with other people. These people are family conscious and are open and friendly in their relationships, though at times they can be rather shy. Number 12 Day people would be completely lost without their companion beside them. They need a partner who is fairly free from hang-ups because they enjoy honesty in their communication. They are attracted to people who are bright, happy, independent and quick on the uptake.
Laughter is an important part of their lives and they frequently have a ready answer, which is usually very funny and witty. They have inquiring minds and collect data on interesting subjects because they enjoy mental stimulation. People fascinate them and they accumulate a wide range of knowledge about the world and its people. They don’t like being told they cannot do something and would rather you keep your insecurities to yourself and allow them to live their lives as freely as possible. The more talented they are, the more modest they become about their abilities.
12 Day Number people (particularly children) are cheeky, bubbly, popular, and oozing with charisma. They often being talking earlier than other energies. They do well if given freedom.
The charismatic and fun-loving 12 Day person is easily bored and needs constant goals to achieve. The ‘go-getting’ 1 and the ‘sensitive’ 2 make this a very balanced number.
12 IDEAL GIFTS
The 12 Day person loves anything to do with home décor, and arts and crafts.
December is a month of ‘letting go of the old’ and ‘looking ahead to the new’. This can be on both small and large scales, and it can/will affect all facets of life including family relations, partnerships, financials, careers and the like. If anything has been bothering you these last few weeks (months, years …), December is a great time to deal with the issue and be done with them once and for all. There is better and brighter for you just up ahead …
Being the 12th month, December’s vibration is that of the numbers 1, 2 and 3.
1 is the vibration of ‘new beginnings’ and starting things afresh.
The 2 vibration is about seeking ‘balance’ and that’s certainly something that many will struggle with – balancing the bank balance, balancing the food and beverage intake, balancing the emotions … balancing in every way.
The 2 energy also signifies the coming together of loved ones and family, and relationships of all kind are highlighted during December. Some will be ‘re-confirmed’ and others may be put under serious scrutiny. The 2 energy also encourages you to tune into your emotional side and to express your feelings. The 2 energy encourages ‘love’.
3 is to do with communications and expressing yourself on all levels, so make a point of making contact with family, friends and people you may have lost touch with over time. Let them know how much you love them. As December is a month of communication, you must speak your mind. Find creative ways to express yourself, eg. writing, singing, taking acting classes, whatever takes your fancy. These are all good outlets for your energy this month as they bring increased activity and recognition.
December is a great month to stretch your creative muscle with Christmas as a wonderful excuse. Think outside the square when considering gifts for loved ones, and if possible, hand-make or have made a special, well-thought-out gift. It doesn’t have to be expensive to show love and appreciation for others. Put your natural creative talents to action and allow the 3 energy to guide you along.
December is a month in which you may see your efforts begin to show fruit. Your best results will be attained through a happy mind-set. You can expect delightful surprises and gratification in many areas of your life including business, career, friends and love.. You may find yourself quite busy with more social interaction. Seeds can be planted in the hearts and minds of those around you.
Throughout December you must believe in yourself and the ideas you have been carrying in your heart and mind, but not expressed. Expression and creativity are highlighted. Follow the strong desire for self-improvement in a simple and constructive way as December is a month when the intellect thirsts for expression and knowledge.
DECEMBER – The Month You Were Born
Those born in December have a strong affinity to the number 12 (which is a higher vibration of 3). You are a practical philosopher who values a stable lifestyle. You are also a ‘lucky’ person and wealth and love find you easily. You may also have a very active social life. You sometimes ignore your responsibilities because you are so busy doing other things.
3. Got a magic 8 ball at home? Roll it and see what comes up. Don’t own one.
4. Don’t use the prompt at all! It’s not mandatory
Your next prompt will be posted on January 20th, to cover the dates from the 21st to the 30th.
I read these books so far in January 2015:
Enduring Love by Wareeze Woodson
Do you know that long distance relationships can last? This is what this book is about, true love and enduring love between two people who by circumstances are broken as they separated due to unforeseen circumstances. It is a very well written, no mistake book that I read in just two days. The characters are moving and realistic and the emotions are forever engraved as the pages keep turning. If you love a great novel written in the romance category you will love this book, men, women, teens or just about anyone! © 2015 Jackie Paulson
Showdown at Crossings: A Tale of Andor by M. K. Theodoratus
This fantasy book is not one that I would normally want to read but chose it and was not disappointed. I have to admit I wanted to read what others thought of this book before buying it. I wanted to learn more about the author: Theodoratus! What makes writers want to write fantasy is a question I keep in my mind. The imagination of the author in this book is really realistic in so many parts of the book. I was wanting to read more as the character Ebe Brown had neighbors move in and are breeding dogs they are more like demonic dogs. What makes someone want to breed mean dogs? It all comes together as the ploy to take over land plays out. I was drawn in like glue to paper and was not disappointed reading this book. © 2015 Jackie Paulson
